Biology 106/106L: Physiological Ecology: Study of the interaction of organisms with their environment. Looking at both plants and animals, students will examine how both structure and function interact to enable an organism to survive under particular environmental conditions.

Biology 163: Conservation Biology: Principles of conservation biology, including identifying threats to biodiversity, management for its preservation, and requirements to support the interests of diverse stakeholders.

Botany 165: Plant Communities of California: Ecology, species composition, and vegetation structure of California plant communities. We focus on the impacts of climate, geology, and soils on species composition on California's diverse communities, as well as species traits that enable plants to thrive in specific environments.
